Actor Nassar openly shared his thoughts in a recent interview regarding the significant role actor Vijay has played in his life. In a conversation with Madan Gowri, Nassar reflected on a poignant moment when his son emerged from a 14-day coma and called out for Vijay rather than for his own family.

‘Vijay plays an important role in our lives’

Nassar discussed in the interview his son, Noorul Hassan Faizal's admiration for Vijay, describing him as a "massive fan." He recounted an encounter where his son expressed his affection for the actor.

Nassar revealed that his son had once been in a coma for 14 days due to unknown causes. "He was unconscious for 14 days and was taken to Singapore for medical care. Upon awakening, he did not call out for his mother or father; instead, he mentioned Vijay. He has a friend by that name, so we were relieved that his memory was somewhat intact. However, when he met his friend afterwards, he did not recognize him and looked at him blankly," he explained.

Amidst the family's confusion, Nassar noted that his wife, a psychologist, discerned which Vijay their son was referring to and showed him a photograph of the actor. Nassar recalled how his son's "eyes brightened" upon seeing the image, prompting them to play Vijay's films and songs to help stimulate his memory.

"When Vijay learned of this, he expressed a desire to meet my son. He insisted on it even after we assured him it was not necessary. He visited not just once, but multiple times, spending quality time with him and even gifting him a ukulele, knowing that he plays the guitar. Thus, Vijay holds a significant place in both my life and my son Faizal's life," he stated.

Upcoming work

Vijay was most recently featured in Venkat Prabhu’s The Greatest of All Time, a film that has achieved significant box office success in 2024. He is set to appear in H Vinoth’s upcoming untitled project, which could potentially mark his final role before transitioning into a political career. The film also stars Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in leading roles, with Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar among the supporting cast.
