14 days ago | 5 Views
April 10 has emerged as a significant date for cinemas throughout South India, with eagerly awaited films in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu set to debut on the big screen. Among these is Alappuzha Gymkhana, featuring Naslen, who is competing for box office success during the Vishu season alongside Mammootty’s Bazooka and Basil Joseph’s Maranamass. Additionally, another major South Indian film, Thala Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly, is also premiering on Thursday. Interestingly, Naslen was offered a role in Ajith's Tamil film but had to decline in favor of Khalid Rahman's project. Read on to discover Naslen's perspective on this matter.
Naslen turned down Ajith's Good Bad Ugly?
Naslen collaborated with director Khalid Rahman for the sports comedy Alappuzha Gymkhana, which is set to hit theaters on Thursday. In a recent interview with Club FM, when asked about his involvement in Good Bad Ugly, the Malayalam actor confirmed he was not part of the film.
"No, I was unable to take part. There was a meeting, but it coincided with the shooting of Alappuzha Gymkhana, so I couldn’t do it,” Naslen explained, with director Khalid Rahman nodding in agreement beside him.

Had Naslen accepted the role in Good Bad Ugly, he would have had two major releases this week.
Naslen in Alappuzha Gymkhana
In Alappuzha Gymkhana, Naslen portrays the character JoJo, alongside Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, and a host of young talents. The film narrates the comedic events that unfold when a group of students decides to participate in boxing competitions to earn grace marks for college admissions.
Anticipation is high for this film, particularly due to Naslen's reputation for his charisma and acting skills. This project also marks Khalid Rahman’s follow-up to Thallumaala, which similarly focused on the youth of today.
Good Bad Ugly
Conversely, the film Good Bad Ugly features Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, alongside Simran, Arjun Das, and Jackie Shroff. This Tamil movie is directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
