Rockstar actress Nargis Fakhri’s sister sister Aliya Fakhri is currently facing murder charges as she is accused of a fatal fire at her ex-boyfriend’s home in the US. Prosecutors claimed that Aliya deliberately set the fire at a detached garage on November 23, 2024, in Queens. This then resulted in the deaths of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs (35), and his friend, Anastasia Ettienne (33). Amid all these reports, Nargis has stated that she has "nothing to clarify" regarding the situation.

A source close to Nargis Fakhri informed India Today that the actress has not been in touch with her sister for over 20 years. She learned about the incident through the news, just like everyone else.

On the other hand, Nargis’ mother says she’s shocked at her daughter's involvement in the deadly incident. She told the New York Daily News, "I don’t think she would kill anyone. She was always a caring person."

Meanwhile, the indictment states that Aliya Fakhri arrived at the property around 6.20 a.m., shouting, "You’re all going to die today," before setting the fire. She has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder, four counts of second-degree murder, and arson. "This defendant maliciously ended the lives of two people by setting a fire that trapped a man and woman in a raging inferno," said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
