Nani stands as one of the most commercially successful actors in Telugu cinema, with his last three films each surpassing Rs 100 crore in box office earnings. He is currently engaged in two significant projects: HIT 3, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, and The Paradise, helmed by Srikanth Odela. Notably, HIT 3 is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025.
Nani's Next with Cibi Chakravarthi Put on Hold
In recent developments regarding Nani's upcoming collaboration with Cibi Chakravarthi, it was previously reported that Nani was in talks with the Tamil director for a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu. The project was confirmed after Nani expressed great enthusiasm for the script. The esteemed production company Mythri Movie Makers, recognized for producing major hits such as Pushpa, was set to finance the film. However, according to our sources, this project has now been canceled.
Further investigation reveals that Cibi Chakravarthi had accepted advances from multiple producers in Tamil Nadu following the success of his film Don. Unfortunately, he failed to fulfill some of these commitments and redirected his attention to Nani’s project. A source close to the producer's team indicated that this predicament has placed Cibi in a financial bind, as he owes a considerable sum to the Tamil producers.
Mythri Movie Makers has chosen to withdraw from the project due to these complications. Furthermore, Nani, who is currently engaged in two other films, has also decided to place the project on hold for the time being.
Notwithstanding these challenges, sources suggest that Nani remains interested in the narrative and is in communication with other producers to potentially revive the project. However, at this moment, the film has been postponed indefinitely and may even face the possibility of being shelved.
Nani busy with back to back projects
Nani is preparing to commence filming for The Paradise, which is directed by Srikanth Odela. The recently released teaser for the film has attracted significant attention due to its audacious dialogue and captivating storyline. As of now, Nani has not committed to any new projects, leaving uncertainty regarding the integration of the Cibi Chakravarthi film into his schedule.
In a different development, the trailer for HIT 3 is anticipated to be released shortly, generating increased enthusiasm among fans. The pre-release business has reached impressive levels, and there is considerable interest surrounding the OTT agreements. Nani's films typically perform well on OTT platforms, with titles such as Eega ranking among the most viewed on OTTplay Premium.
Furthermore, Nani is in the process of producing a courtroom drama entitled Court – State vs A Nobody, which stars Priyadarshi in the leading role.
