Nana Patekar on his fallout with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

In a discussion with Siddharth Kannan, Nana Patekar elaborated on his estrangement from Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The seasoned actor also considered the potential for a future collaboration with the director.

There exists a chance for me to collaborate again with Sanjay Leela Bhansali; however, I believe my outburst may have left him feeling hurt. Consequently, we have not worked together since that incident. The altercation did not significantly impact our individual lives, as Nana disclosed.

The veteran actor expressed his longing to work with the director again. "The issue lies in my demeanor; I tend to be quite blunt and use very harsh language, which likely disturbed him. Nevertheless, I have not made any attempts to address the situation with him," he stated. He also expressed hope that they might reconcile their differences in the future.

Nana Patekar admits he was 'too violent'

Nana Patekar, during the same discussion, disclosed that individuals were previously 'intimidated' by him due to his 'excessive aggression.' The veteran actor mentioned that he preferred to remain silent and allow his actions to convey his message. However, he now perceives himself as 'less aggressive.' "Nonetheless, even today, if someone provokes me, I tend to resort to violence. Had I not pursued a career in acting, I would likely have found myself involved in the underworld. I am not joking. I am completely serious about this," he stated.

The 73-year-old remarked that acting provided him with a means to express himself and served as a channel for his frustrations. In terms of his professional endeavors, he is looking forward to the theatrical premiere of his film, Vanvaas, which is scheduled for release on December 20, 2024.
