On Siblings Day, Namrata Shirodkar reminisced about the past by sharing a nostalgic photograph with her sister, Shilpa Shirodkar. On Thursday, she took to Instagram to express her affection for her "favorite person" by posting the cherished old image.

In the image, Namrata is dressed in a green saree paired with a pink blouse, while Shilpa Shirodkar is seen in a rust and beige suit. Both sisters adorned themselves with traditional jewelry and smiled as they posed for the camera. Namrata shared the photo with the caption, “Happy #SiblingsDay, my favorite person! (Red heart emoji).”

Shilpa also uploaded several photos on Instagram featuring Namrata. Among these were nostalgic images of the sisters smiling for the camera, including a childhood photo with their mother. In the previous month, Namrata and Shilpa, accompanied by their daughters Sitara Ghattamaneni and Anoushka Ranjit, embarked on a journey to Paris. Namrata posted a collection of enjoyable photographs from their adventure on Instagram, captioning the post, "Embracing the relaxed atmosphere of leisurely Paris... spending quality time with the girls and creating lasting memories."

About Namrata and Shilpa's films

Namrata, who was crowned Miss India in 1993, made her acting debut in the film Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998), which featured Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna. She followed in the footsteps of her younger sister, Shilpa, by entering the acting industry. Namrata is recognized for her performances in notable films such as Vaastav (1999), Kachche Dhaage (1999), Pukar (2000), and the Hollywood production Bride and Prejudice (2004).

Shilpa commenced her acting career with Bhrashtachar (1989), alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. She went on to appear in several films, including Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Trinetra and Hum (1991), Khuda Gawah (1992), Aankhen and Pehchaan (1993), Gopi Kishan (1994), Bewafa Sanam (1995), and Mrityudand (1997), among others. After her marriage, she chose to retire from acting, with her final film appearance being in Gaja Gamini (2000).

In 2005, Namrata married actor Mahesh Babu, and they have two children, Sitara and Gautam Ghattamaneni. Shilpa also married in 2005, tying the knot with Aparesh Ranjit, and they have a daughter together.
