About Thandel
Chandoo Mondeti's Thandel marks the most significant debut for Chaitanya. The narrative is inspired by a real-life event involving fishermen from Srikakulam who inadvertently entered Pakistani waters and were subsequently detained. In the film, Chaitanya portrays Raju, a fisherman appointed as thandel (the captain of a fishing vessel) prior to a fishing expedition off the coast of Gujarat. Pallavi plays his beloved Satya, affectionately referred to as bujji thalli (dear one) by him.
