Recently, actor Naga Chaitanya was spotted in Hyderabad, where he had a chance encounter with some fans. A video of him chatting with young kids and playfully asking why they weren’t in school has been making the rounds on X (formerly Twitter). Fans have noted how he engages with them in a friendly, brotherly manner.

In the video, which appears to have been recorded by one of the children, one kid excitedly mentions that they saw Chaitanya's latest film, Thandel. However, the actor seems more curious about their school attendance.

After learning the names of four kids, he asks which school they attend. When one child reveals he’s no longer in school, Chaitanya asks, “Why did you stop going?” The child explains he’s now working in a shop. When the others mention they’re in fourth grade, he circles back to the kid who isn’t in school.

As the kids keep telling him they watched Thandel in theaters, he eventually says goodbye and leaves.

One fan shared a video on X, captioning it, “#NagaChaitanya Interacts with Kids Like a Big Brother.” The video itself features text that says, “When Chay takes a break from his ride to brighten the kids' day.” Another viewer highlighted a moment at the end where a child says, “Malli Sunday kaludham anna (Let’s meet next Sunday again brother).”

Another fan chimed in, “He shows respect to everyone, which is why everyone adores him. #JrAnr is having a blast with kids on the streets of Hyderabad.” One user on X remarked, “Chay is such a nice guy. He’s probably the only down-to-earth star kid. But he could work on his acting skills.”

Latest projects

Following the disappointing performance of Custody in 2023, Chaitanya made his comeback this year with Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and featuring Sai Pallavi. This film marked his first entry into the ₹100 crore club. He hasn't revealed any details about his future projects yet. Last year, Chaitanya also grabbed headlines for tying the knot with his girlfriend, Sobhita Dhulipala.
