Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala celebrated their marriage in an elaborate ceremony held in Hyderabad on December 4. The couple maintained a discreet stance regarding their relationship during their courtship, which led to widespread surprise when they announced their engagement in August. In a recent interview with The New York Times, Naga shared insights about his relationship with Sobhita, disclosing that their initial communication began on Instagram, after which he invited her to a lunch date in Mumbai.

Naga and Sobhita's dating saga

In the interview, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala candidly discussed their romantic relationship. It was noted, “During their time together, Ms. Dhulipala resided in Mumbai while Mr. Akkineni was based in Hyderabad. A few weeks after initiating their conversations on Instagram, he took a one-hour flight solely for a lunch date with her at Pali Village Cafe.”

Naga remarked, “I do not particularly enjoy texting. I am not fond of communicating through social media.”

About their wedding

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala exchanged vows on December 4, surrounded by their close friends and family at the renowned Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Following their wedding, the couple made their first public appearance at the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh.

Nagarjuna shared official wedding photographs on his X account, previously known as Twitter. He expressed his sentiments, stating, "Witnessing Sobhita and Chay embark on this beautiful journey together has been a profoundly emotional experience for me. Congratulations to my dear Chay, and welcome to the family, beloved Sobhita—you have already infused our lives with immense joy."

Naga Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu, but the couple separated after four years of marriage.

In terms of upcoming projects, Chaitanya is set to star in Chandoo Mondeti’s film Thandel alongside Sai Pallavi. Sobhita was last featured in Love, Sitara.
