Actor Naga Chaitanya has issued an uncommon statement regarding the dissolution of his marriage with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Following his recent marriage to Sobhita Dhulipala, the actor expressed his feelings about moving forward and described the experience of being perceived negatively by the public after the conclusion of his previous relationship.

In a recent appearance on the Raw Talks With VK podcast,  Naga Chaitanya discussed the conclusion of his marriage, stating, “We have chosen to part ways for our reasons, and we hold mutual respect for one another. We are progressing in our lives independently. I fail to see what further explanation is necessary. I hope that the audience and the media will honour our request for privacy. We have sought solitude regarding this matter. Regrettably, it has become a sensational topic, turning into gossip and entertainment.”

The actor further expressed that both he and Samantha have 'moved on with dignity' following their divorce, yet he feels unjustly treated by some fans. He remarked, “I have transitioned into this new phase of life with great dignity. She has also moved forward gracefully. We are each pursuing our own paths. I have discovered love once more and am genuinely happy, and we maintain a profound respect for one another. This is not an isolated occurrence in my life, so why am I being treated as if I have committed a crime?”

Chaitanya expressed that the divorce was 'in the best interest of all parties involved in the marriage' and described it as 'a deliberate decision made after considerable reflection.'

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu commenced their relationship in 2015. They exchanged vows in a Christian ceremony in Goa on October 6, 2017, which was succeeded by a Hindu wedding the next day. In October 2021, they publicly declared their separation, and their divorce was finalized the subsequent year. On December 4, 2024, Chaitanya wed Sobhita at Annapurna Studios.
