It was previously reported that music director Yuvan Shankar Raja would be composing the score for the upcoming sequel, Sardar 2, which is currently in development. However, recent reports indicate that Yuvan has withdrawn from the project, and Sam CS will now be responsible for the music of this spy thriller.

Sardar 2: Yuvan Shankar Raja replaced by Sam CS?

Sardar, released in 2022, is a spy action thriller featuring Karthi in the lead role. The film is both written and directed by Mithran, and the production team has confirmed that a sequel is underway. Initially, Yuvan Shankar Raja was set to compose the music, but recent discussions on social media suggest that he has been replaced by Sam CS. The production team has yet to provide an official statement regarding this change.

Notably, Sam CS has composed the score for the Karthi-led film Kaithi, generating significant excitement for their upcoming collaboration. Mithran is set to return to his role as director for Sardar 2. In addition to Karthi, the sequel features SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, and Rajisha Vijayan. Currently, the film is in production, with its release date yet to be confirmed. Sardar 2 is being produced under the Prince Pictures banner. Recently, reports indicated that Karthi suffered injuries while filming in Mysore. He was taken to the hospital, but fortunately, the injuries were not serious.

Sardar showcases Karthi in two distinct roles. The narrative revolves around a police officer who unravels a complex network of deceit, corruption, and conspiracy while probing an international crime syndicate.
