Four well-known Bollywood personalities, including actor and comedian Kapil Sharma, actor Rajpal Yadav, choreographer Remo D'Souza, and actor-singer Sugandha Mishra, have reportedly received death threats originating from Pakistan. An FIR has been lodged in Mumbai, and the police are currently investigating the situation.

Threat against Kapil

The email containing the death threat asserts, “We are closely observing your recent activities and feel it is crucial to bring a sensitive issue to your attention. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to intimidate you; we implore you to regard this message with the highest level of seriousness and confidentiality.” The email concludes with the sender identifying themselves as ‘BISHNU.’

On December 14, 2024, Rajpal Yadav received a threatening email from an individual using the name Bishnu, which warned of harm to Kapil Sharma and his team due to the sponsorship of his show by Salman Khan. This prompted immediate action, leading Yadav's wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, to file a police report at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai.

A case has been registered under section 351 (3) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, which pertains to threats of harm, at the Amboli police station in Mumbai. Security measures will be implemented for Kapil Sharma and his team. The Amboli police have traced the IP address to Pakistan and are seeking governmental assistance to communicate with Pakistani authorities. The recipient has been instructed to respond within eight hours, failing which they may face repercussions both personally and professionally.
