A piece of the knife thought to be involved in the stabbing of actor Saif Ali Khan has been found at his home in Bandra, according to the Mumbai Police on Saturday. The attack, which happened earlier this week, resulted in the actor suffering significant injuries.

The incident occurred when an intruder reportedly confronted the actor's maid in the early hours of Thursday, leaving Saif with stab wounds to his thoracic spine.

Saif tried to step in but ended up getting attacked, which sparked a violent clash. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai to treat some serious injuries.

The hospital staff reported that Saif Ali Khan is recovering well and has been transferred from the ICU to a regular room. The surgery to remove a 2.5-inch blade went smoothly, and although he's now "out of danger," the medical team is keeping a close eye on his recovery.

Inquiry by the Mumbai Police

Mumbai Police has set up 20 teams to carry out a thorough investigation aimed at finding the attacker. They’re also going through CCTV footage and interviewing more than 30 people, including the actor's team and those who were around his home that night. Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan's wife, gave her statement to the Bandra Police on Friday.

In the early hours of Sunday, a man was taken into custody in Thane for allegedly assaulting actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence, according to Mumbai Police.
