Over the past 24 hours, attention has been focused on Saif's condition and the progress of the investigation. In the evening, CCTV footage revealed the assailant's face, allegedly captured near the residential tower of Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan. According to recent reports, the Mumbai police have made significant progress in the investigation, having apprehended the primary suspect in the stabbing incident, who was reportedly last seen at Bandra station.

Main Accused in Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Row Arrested

In a series of alarming incidents in an upscale neighbourhood of Bandra, Mumbai, a burglar broke into the residence of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan with the intent to commit theft. During an attempt to thwart the intruder, Saif sustained multiple stab wounds. This incident occurred in the early hours of January 16, around 2:30 AM. Reports indicate that Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif's eldest son, transported him to Lilavati Hospital for medical attention. Recent updates and circulating videos suggest that the primary suspect has been apprehended by the Mumbai police.

The Mumbai police initiated a citywide manhunt for the suspect, utilizing CCTV footage to identify him. It has been reported that he accessed the 11th-floor apartment, where Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan reside, via the fire exit staircase. The suspect has since been arrested, taken to the Bandra police station, and is currently undergoing interrogation, according to a report by the Economic Times.

Early investigations have determined that the assault was motivated by a desire for theft, with the assailant demanding ₹1 crore from the actor's family. Last night, Kareena Kapoor released a statement addressing the situation, urging the public to respect the family's need for privacy as they navigate and recover from this unfortunate incident.

The statement expressed:  

"Our family has faced an exceptionally difficult day, and we are still in the process of coming to terms with the events that have transpired. As we work through this challenging period, I respectfully ask that the media and paparazzi refrain from ongoing speculation and coverage. While we are grateful for the concern and support, the incessant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also present a considerable risk to our safety. I kindly urge you to honour our boundaries and allow us the necessary space to heal and cope as a family. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time."
