Sonakshi Sinha clapped back at Mukesh Khanna after he claimed that her dad, Shatrughan Sinha, was to blame for her not being able to answer a question about the Ramayana on KBC back in 2019. In a recent chat with News9, the seasoned actor replied to Sonakshi's comments, insisting he didn't mean any harm.

Mukesh Khanna expressed his surprise at how long it took Sonakshi to respond, saying, "I didn't expect her to take so long to react. I knew mentioning her in relation to that incident on the famous Kaun Banega Crorepati show might rub her the wrong way. But honestly, I had no bad intentions towards her or her father, who I respect and have a good relationship with."

He went on to clarify, "My goal was to comment on the current generation, often referred to as 'Gen Z' by older folks, who seem to be overly dependent on Google and their phones. Their understanding often comes from Wikipedia and YouTube interactions. I had a perfect example in front of me with her that I thought could help educate others—fathers, sons, and daughters alike."

Sonakshi Sinha's comments were quite interesting.

In 2019, Sonakshi Sinha was a contestant on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 11, where she faced a question about who Hanuman brought Sanjeevani booti for in the Ramayana, but she didn't get it right. Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Mukesh Khanna pointed fingers at Shatrughan Sinha for not teaching Sonakshi about the Ramayana. Sonakshi responded on Instagram, defending herself against Mukesh's comments about her upbringing.

She said, "Dear Sir, Mukesh Khanna ji ...I saw your recent statement blaming my father for my incorrect answer about the Ramayana on a show from years ago. Just a reminder, there were two other women on the hot seat that day who also didn’t know the answer, yet you keep singling me out for reasons that are pretty clear."

Sonakshi Sinha just got married to her long-time boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal, in a cozy ceremony on June 23. The wedding had a bunch of Bollywood stars in attendance, like Huma Qureshi and Aditi Rao Hydari. Not too long ago, Sonakshi celebrated Zaheer's birthday with her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam, along with Rekha showing her support for the actor.
