Actor Nishant Dahiya has received acclaim for his role in Arati Kadav's film, Mrs. The movie, featuring Sanya Malhotra in the principal role, was recently launched on ZEE5. In this production, Nishant portrays a patriarchal and emotionally abusive husband to Sanya's character. Prior to being cast in Mrs., Nishant viewed The Great Indian Kitchen (Malayalam version) and found the husband's character detestable. Consequently, when he was presented with the opportunity to play a similar role in Mrs., his initial reaction was to decline the offer.

In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Nishant Dahiya shared his initial response upon receiving the offer for the role in Mrs. The actor expressed, "My first thought was, ‘I don’t want to be this person.’ I was concerned about being disliked by the audience." His reluctance was influenced by his previous encounters with online abuse. Dahiya reflected on the negative attention he faced on social media following the release of Kedarnath in 2018.

Even he is susceptible to the impact of a single negative remark, the actor disclosed that he is actively working on this aspect of himself. He also discussed his initial intention to decline the film Mrs. during his meeting with Arati Kadav.

"Arati was wonderful. She presented herself as a genuinely warm individual, and I was eager to collaborate with her. She was passionate about producing this film and wanted me to be a part of it. Although I initially declined, upon returning home, I felt compelled to reconsider the offer," Nishant expressed.

In the same discussion, the actor emphasized that the narrative of Mrs. deserves to reach a broader audience, as he believes many individuals are conditioned in such a manner that they fail to recognize when they are in the wrong
