Pathikrit Basu started shooting the film Shriman Vs. Shrimati in September. The teaser poster shared a glimpse of the court where a couple tries to keep their marriage. The casting is star-studded. Besides Mithun and Anjan, Parambrata Chatterjee, Madhumita Sarkar, Anjana Basu, Satyam Bhattacharya, Biswanath Basu, and Roshni Bhattacharya play important roles. The film will be released on the Bengali New Year in 2025. Arpan Gupta wrote the dialogue.
The film deals with a divorce case that has been running for twenty-seven years. A couple sought divorce when they were middle-aged. But the divorce did not happen in twenty-seven years. Mithun and Anjana will play the couple. Anjan Dutt will play Anjana’s ex-boyfriend. In a parallel relationship story of today, Parambrata and Madhumita Sarkar will play another couple. Satyam and Roshni will play young Mithun and Anjana. Anjan Dutt will sing a song for this movie.
