He trolled the media and spoke highly about his craft. But sadly, he could not deliver a hit for Ravi Teja. Mr. Bachchan has been rejected by the audience in a big way. The producers, People Media Factory will end up in losses of more than Rs 20 crore.

Mr. Bachchan was sold at exorbitant prices in Telugu states but it is struggling at the box office. So, the gossip in the film circles is that director Harish Shankar has decided to return a part of his remuneration to compensate the buyers.

Harish Shankar's remuneration for Mr. Bachchan

We have come to know that Harish Shankar was paid a whopping Rs 15 crore to direct the film. The news is also that the producer T G Vishwa Prasad has also promised a few buyers to return a part of their investment for the film.

Mr. Bachchan is the official remake of the Hindi hit Raid. Harish Shankar made a lot of changes to the story but the film was lost in translation. The songs were super hits and the first half is decent. But the entire second half was narrated in an outdated manner.

His new film with Ram is also in doubt after the failure of Mr. Bachchan. Speaking in an interview, the Gabbar Singh director stated that trolls on Mr. Bachchan are personal and have been targeted towards him.

Whatever the reason, Harish has failed to score a success and that is what matters. Thanks to the failure, Mr. Bachchan will be out on OTT in less than three weeks as per the news. Netflix has grabbed the OTT rights for a whopping Rs 33 crores.
