Actor Mouni Roy has addressed the ongoing rumors regarding plastic surgery that have been circulating about her. She emphasized that she will not allow anonymous critics to affect her.

Mouni responds to trolls regarding plastic surgery speculation

In a recent public event, she was questioned about online trolling. Mouni dismissed the negativity, asserting that she disregarded such remarks. She remarked that individuals who take pleasure in trolling others online must take responsibility for their behavior.

She stated, “Nothing. I don’t even look at those comments. Let everyone do their job; I do not focus on such statements. If you choose to hide behind a screen to troll others and derive happiness from it, that is your choice.”

Mouni recently participated in the trailer launch of her forthcoming film, Bhootnii, alongside her co-star Sanjay Dutt. Following her Instagram post featuring a reel in which she donned a black slip dress, she faced online criticism regarding her appearance. Many users commented on her evolving looks, questioning whether "cosmetic surgery had gone awry." One individual remarked, “Surgery went wrong,” while another noted, “Every public appearance reveals a new plastic surgery.”

Mouni’s next project

Regarding Mouni’s upcoming projects, she is set to appear in the horror-action-comedy The Bhootnii. Recently, Sohum Rockstar Entertainment shared an announcement video for the film on Instagram. The video opens with a compelling voiceover by Sanjay Dutt, showcasing scenes of spirits and a haunted tree. It also features Sunny Singh, who is depicted as desperately trying to reclaim his love, played by Palak Tiwari, from a supernatural entity portrayed by Mouni Roy.

Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, the film includes performances from Asif Khan, BeYouNick, and others in significant roles. Co-produced by Hunar Mukut and Maanayata Dutt, this horror-comedy is slated for release in theaters on April 18, 2025.
