Monali Thakur Addresses Health Rumors: "I Am Not Hospitalized or Dealing with Breathing Issues"

Earlier today, there were multiple reports saying that Monali Thakur had to stop her concert in Bihar because she was feeling breathless, which worried her fans about her health. Now, the singer has come out with a statement to clear the air, saying she hasn’t been hospitalized. She mentioned that she’s been “feeling unwell lately because she hasn’t had enough time to recover from a viral infection.”

Monali gives a health update

On Thursday, Monali hopped on Instagram Stories to clear up some health rumors and give everyone an update.

She said, “Hey media and everyone worried about my health, hope you’re all good. I just want to ask that no unverified news about my health gets spread around. I really appreciate all the love and concern, but I need to clarify that I’m not having any breathing problems and I haven’t been hospitalized. That’s just not true.”

The singer also mentioned that she wasn’t feeling great due to a viral infection. Monali explained, “I’ve been under the weather lately because I didn’t have enough time to recover from a viral infection/flu, which made it come back and caused some pretty bad sinus and migraine issues, especially when flying. That’s all there is to it. I’m back in Mumbai now, getting treatment, resting, and on the mend. I’ll be just fine soon.”

Monali asked everyone not to blow things out of proportion. She added, “Especially when there are way more important things to focus on. Thanks a ton for your love and support. Take care and lots of love.”

A News 18 report revealed that Monali, famous for hits like Sawar Loon and Zara Zara Touch Me, was taken to the hospital after experiencing breathlessness. She was performing at the Dinhata festival in Bihar when she appeared to be in distress and halted her performance. Her team quickly stepped in to get her medical help, and she was transported to Dinhata Sub-District Hospital in Cooch Behar.
