Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar, returned to the television screens yet again as the host of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6. The show, which had its premiere in March 2024, has been receiving mixed reactions from the audience. However, what all the viewers equally love are the weekend episodes hosted by the Neru actor. As per the recent updates, the veteran actor has now taken a break from BBMS6. This weekend’s Bigg Boss Malayalam 6 episodes will not have Mohanlal’s presence.

Mohanlal takes a break from Bigg Boss Malayalam 6

Reportedly, Mohanlal will not be present in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6, which will air tonight and tomorrow (May 18 and 19, 2024). Instead, the makers of BBMS6 are planning to proceed with the ongoing family week, which features the family members of the existing contestants entering the house. The ‘Ticket to Finale’ task is also expected to continue this weekend. Mohanlal, however, is reportedly planning to return to the show on May 21, 2024, Tuesday, on the special occasion of his 64th birthday.

As per the recent updates, the Malaikottai Vaaliban star is planning to have a special birthday celebration with his Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 family. Mohanlal’s birthday celebration is expected to be telecasted on one of the upcoming weekday episodes. Later, the Malayalam superstar will return to the BBMS6 house during the next weekend, as usual. However, the loyal fans of the show, who have been eagerly waiting for the weekend episodes featuring the superstar host, are disappointed with the new updates.

Mohanlal’s busy schedule

As per the reports, Mohanlal is now simultaneously shooting for two of his highly anticipated projects: L2 Empuraan, which is helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, and the upcoming Tharun Moorthy film, which has been tentatively titled L360. If the reports are to be believed, the Drishyam actor is planning to take a quick break from his busy shooting schedule on his birthday to join his family in Chennai for a quick celebration. The superstar is reportedly planning to have a low-key birthday celebration with his wife, Suchitra Mohanlal, family, and a few close friends at his Chennai residence.
