Modern Master: SS Rajamouli, the documentary film based on the journey of the Baahubali director, recently had its grand premiere in Netflix. The show, directed by directed by Raghav Khanna and co-directed by Tanvi Ajinkya has been garnering the attention of cine-goers, by providing a closer look at the master craftsman’s personal and professional journey. Interestingly, Baahubali actor Prabhas, who made a Modern Master: SS Rajamouli, opened up about the director’s unseen ‘crazy’ side.
Prabhas reveals SS Rajamouli’s crazy side
During his appearance in Modern Master: SS Rajamouli, Prabhas opened up about working with the master craftsman in the iconic Baahubali franchise. According to Telugu cinema’s biggest crowdpuller, Rajamouli is an absolute ‘mad man’, as his family and friends call him. The filmmaker, who was extremely focused on the sticking to the budget during the making of Baahubali: The Beginning, the first part, used to come up many bizarre ways to keep the budget in bay.
The hitmaker, who believes in spending maximum on the production of the film, controlled the budget by shifting into a low-cost hotel which had very limited facilities. The rest of the cast and crew, however, continued to stay the same hotel which had all facilities. Later, SS Rajamouli came up with an idea to remove entire non-vegetarian food items from the daily menu of the massive cast and crew of Baahubali franchise. In that way, the production team was able to cut cost during the massive production of the film.
