Shahid Kapoor is commemorating his 43rd birthday today, February 25. His wife, Mira Rajput, conveyed her affection for him through a heartfelt post on social media. She shared a romantic photograph of the couple and included a touching message, referring to him as the light of her life.

Mira's birthday tribute to Shahid

On Tuesday, Mira took to Instagram to post a cosy image featuring herself and Shahid Kapoor, where the actor is seen admiring her. In her heartfelt message to her husband, she expressed, "Love of my life, light of my world. Happy Birthday to my forever (red heart emoji). Amidst everything and at the conclusion of it all, you are the one (evil eye). The magic resides within you."

Mira and Shahid exchanged vows in a private wedding ceremony on July 7, 2015. They are proud parents to two children, daughter Misha and son Zain Kapoor. Mira first met Shahid when she was merely 16 years old at a family friend's residence.

During his appearance on Karan Johar's talk show, Shahid Kapoor discussed his life post-marriage with Mira, stating, "She contributes immensely to my life. She provides balance, instils a sense of normalcy, and we are blessed with wonderful children. At the time of our marriage, I was 34 and she was just 20. This necessitated a different approach on my part. She required gentle care, having left everything behind to move to Bombay. I was already well-established in my career and the film industry, which can often be quite daunting and critical."

Shahid Kapoor’s Upcoming Films

Shahid was last featured in the action thriller Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrrews. Despite its promising cast, including Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati, the film did not achieve commercial success. He is set to appear next in Vishal Bhardwaj's forthcoming film Arjun Ustara, which also features Triptii Dimri and Gaurav Sharma in significant roles. The film is currently in the production phase.
