Actor Priyanka Chopra is commemorating the significant milestone achieved by her friend Mindy Kaling, who has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This achievement marks Mindy as the first South Asian woman to receive such an accolade. Priyanka expressed her admiration for Mindy through her Instagram Stories, extending her heartfelt congratulations.

Priyanka posted a video showcasing Mindy as she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on her Instagram Stories. In her caption, she stated: “First South Asian woman to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Queen. Congratulations Mindy Kaling, so well deserved (red heart emoji).”

Mindy subsequently shared Priyanka's post on her own Instagram, responding with the caption: “Love you so much.”

Mindy also expressed her emotions through a touching message on her Instagram account to commemorate the significant occasion. She stated, "Yesterday marked one of the most extraordinary days of my life! I was surrounded by my closest friends and family during the surreal and humbling moment of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. @bjnovak delivered a truly beautiful speech. After I received my star, I learned that I am the first South Asian woman to achieve this honour on the Walk of Fame. I am deeply humbled by this recognition. I take immense pride in my South Asian heritage and aspire to make my community proud through my endeavours. More importantly, I aim to support the next generation of South Asian stars, who are already making significant contributions globally.

I can hardly believe my fortune! My heartfelt thanks to my @warnerbrosentertainment family and the @hollywoodchamberofcommerce. This experience was truly remarkable."

At the event, the actress received support from her colleagues in the industry, including her close friend BJ Novak, as well as Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin. In his speech, Novak remarked, "You would be honoured on the walk of talent if such a thing existed. You would also be celebrated on the walk of friendship and the walk of compassionate parenthood; however, let us be honest, all of these would make for rather unfortunate field trips. Thus, here you are, rightfully recognized as someone who holds great significance for many, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."

On the professional front, Priyanka is anticipated to appear in SS Rajamouli's upcoming project alongside Mahesh Babu, with an official announcement expected shortly.
