Mika Singh, renowned for his numerous hit songs such as Jumme Ki Raat, 440 Volt, and Aaj Ki Party featured in Salman Khan's films, recently shared insights about his friendship with the iconic actor during an interview with The Lallantop. He acknowledged that he had previously composed a song containing a lyric that mentioned Katrina Kaif, which he modified at Salman’s suggestion.

Reflecting on their initial encounter, Mika recounted that Salman visited the set of his shoot, where they engaged in conversation. However, he did not request Salman's phone number or attempt to ingratiate himself, as he felt he lacked the savvy to do so at that time.

He subsequently remarked, "I had previously recorded the song Jumme Ki Raat for him, but I believed my vocal performance was inadequate. Salman Bhai appreciated it, and no one was inclined to contradict him. In my enthusiasm, I shared a tweet regarding it. It is worth noting that Salman Khan Bhai typically prefers to converse on the phone at 2 am, and he becomes quite displeased if his calls go unanswered."

Mika Singh excluded Katrina Kaif's name from a song at the request of Salman Khan

When questioned about whether he altered the lyrics of his song in "Loot" to preserve a positive relationship with Salman, Mika responded, "Indeed, I modified it for him. However, prior to 'Loot,' I had not collaborated with him on any songs; I have produced numerous tracks since then. My songwriting is always tailored to the film's context. In that particular film, the characters prompted me to use certain names, but I made adjustments at his request. Specifically, I replaced 'Katrina' with 'Jacqueline.'"

Mika also expressed his solidarity with Salman during a time when the latter received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. During one of his live performances, he stated, "In the video, the singer can be seen saying, 'This line is for Salman Khan... I am your brother, do not worry...'" Mika proceeded with the song, incorporating some explicit language that conveyed, "I will take care of anyone who threatens you."
