Mick Jagger popped up unexpectedly with his younger girlfriend at a pre-Oscars dinner bash. The 81-year-old rock legend was seen getting close with 37-year-old Melanie Hamrick on Saturday at the annual Chanel and Charles Finch event held at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills.

Jagger made a rare appearance in a shiny pink jacket over a grey t-shirt and teal pants. His partner, the former ballerina, looked stunning in a strapless black midi dress and black heels, finishing off her outfit with a silver Chanel belt.

The couple, who started dating in 2014, was seen cozying up and sipping drinks at a glamorous event. Jagger was also spotted chatting with actors Adrien Brody and Colman Domingo, according to Page Six.

Jagger and Hamrick first crossed paths over ten years ago when both the American Ballet Theatre and The Rolling Stones were touring in Tokyo. They didn’t start dating until later that year when Jagger invited her to one of his shows in Zurich.

In 2016, they welcomed their son, Deveraux Octavian Basil. At 8 years old, he’s Jagger’s youngest child, joining his seven adult siblings: Karis, 54; Jade, 53; Elizabeth, 41; James, 39; Georgia May, 33; Gabriel, 27; and Lucas, 25.

While Hamrick tends to keep her relationship with the rockstar under wraps, she did talk about their 44-year age difference in an interview with The Times last year, saying, “Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it.”
