Michelle Trachtenberg encountered various health challenges before her untimely passing at the age of 39. In a discussion with Us Weekly, a close friend of the Gossip Girl actress disclosed that there was consistently “something medically wrong” with her during their conversations.

In the days preceding her passing, Trachtenberg appeared noticeably unwell, as reported by various sources. Nevertheless, the Ice Princess actress consistently reassured everyone, including her fans who frequently inquired about her health, that she was doing well.

While Trachtenberg chose not to discuss her health challenges publicly, a friend disclosed that she was candid with those close to her regarding her transplant.

However, the star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer refrained from providing specifics about the procedure. Reports indicate that Trachtenberg underwent a liver transplant after her health had been declining for several months before her death.

The friend indicated that the actress had been experiencing health issues for an extended period. “She had back problems, followed by bone issues, and she also experienced several falls,” the source noted.

The friend further remarked, “Whenever we conversed, there was always something medically concerning,” adding, “Michelle faced numerous health challenges, but she endeavoured to remain positive.”

An industry insider also commented, “The last time I encountered her, something felt amiss.” “You could sense that something was wrong. She appeared quite frail and had been unwell for some time,” they remarked.

Moreover, the friend mentioned that while Trachtenberg “did consume alcohol,” it was not to excess in public settings. “She was never one to indulge heavily at parties. Ultimately, she preferred a more reclusive lifestyle,” they noted.

Just days before her untimely death, the EuroTrip actress was seen at the fashionable Sartiano’s restaurant in Soho with a group of friends. An eyewitness who observed Trachtenberg during this outing remarked that “something seemed off about her.”
