The actress, known for her role in Gossip Girl, tragically died at the age of 39 after experiencing cardiac arrest in her New York City residence. Authorities discovered her "unconscious and unresponsive," and she was subsequently declared deceased by emergency medical services, as confirmed by the NYPD, according to the New York Post.

Trachtenberg's last Instagram update featured a nostalgic photograph posted on February 18. The image, a close-up, captured the actress on the red carpet. In her caption, the Gossip Girl star expressed, “I aimed to resemble a mischievous #tinkerbell #throwback.”

In the days leading up to that moment, Trachtenberg shared her most recent selfie. The image featured her in a blue sweater adorned with a tiger design, complemented by a silver necklace and black eyeliner. A pair of sunglasses rested atop her head.

She captioned the photo, "Eye of the Tiger."

At that time, admirers praised her eyes in the comments section. One user remarked, “I will never cease to compliment your eyes. Recently, Trachtenberg underwent a liver transplant, as reported by Page Six. A source informed People that she had been “struggling” both mentally and physically in the year leading up to her passing, and had been “really down emotionally” while facing undisclosed “health issues.”

“She confided in friends about her struggles,” the source revealed to the outlet. “She was very, very ill and candid with those close to her about how much she was suffering.”
