The dispute regarding Neha Kakkar's concert in Melbourne has taken a new direction. In response to the singer's remarks about the mismanagement that caused delays during her performance, the event organizers have issued a counterstatement.

Organizers respond to Neha Kakkar's accusations

In contrast to Neha's assertions, the organizers have labeled her allegations as untrue. They further stated that their company has suffered financially, facing considerable losses as a result of the event.

Neha faced criticism at the concert after arriving several hours late. Following the negative feedback online, she attributed the issues to the company's lack of professionalism, claiming they absconded with her payment.

In light of these accusations, the organizers have posted a statement on Instagram addressing the situation. The message stated, “We will return with all the evidence and details regarding the Neha Kakkar show. We will reveal the truth (sic).”

During a Facebook Live session on March 28, a representative from the event management team described the singer's performance as a 'disaster' and asserted that all necessary arrangements had been made, countering her grievances. 

They stated that the singer should be responsible for compensating them due to the significant financial losses they incurred. The team claimed that, contrary to Neha's assertions, they had fulfilled all required preparations, which included providing multiple vehicles for her and securing accommodations in five-star hotels. They also presented a detailed account of their expenditures, totaling ₹4.25 crore. They remarked, “The accusations are entirely unfounded. We are facing substantial debt following the event. She should be the one compensating us… it was a mistake to engage her.”

Earlier this week, a video surfaced depicting Neha Kakkar in tears on stage as she apologized profusely to her fans after reportedly arriving three hours late for her concert in Melbourne, Australia. The footage, shared on Reddit by a user, shows the singer visibly upset while some audience members expressed their discontent by booing her for the delay.

In the video, Neha expresses her remorse, stating, “You have been really sweet and patient; you have been waiting for so long. I hate it. I have never made anyone wait in my entire life.”

She continued, “You have been waiting for so long. I am truly sorry. You mean the world to me. You are all so sweet. I was so worried about what would happen. This means a lot to me. I will always remember this evening. I promise that for all of you who have taken the time to come here, I will make sure you all dance.” 

As some audience members shouted "go back!" at Kakkar, she took the microphone to address them directly. Following the video's release, social media erupted with criticism, with many users quick to voice their disapproval of her actions.

Earlier this week, Neha took to Instagram to address the recent concert incident. She stated, “They claimed she arrived three hours late, but did anyone inquire about what happened to her or her band? When I spoke on stage, I refrained from sharing our experience because I didn’t want to harm anyone; after all, who am I to punish others? However, now that my name is involved, I feel compelled to speak out. Did you know that I performed entirely free of charge for my audience in Melbourne? The organizers absconded with my payment and that of others. My band was not provided with food, accommodations, or even water. My husband and his friends had to bring them food. Despite all this, we still took the stage and performed without any rest because my fans had been waiting for hours.”

Neha continued, “Are you aware that our sound check was delayed for hours because the sound vendor had not been paid and refused to set up the equipment? When we finally began our sound check after a significant delay, I was unable to reach the venue and could not participate in the sound check. We were uncertain if the concert would even take place, as the organizers stopped answering my manager's calls, apparently trying to evade the sponsors and others. There is still much more to discuss, but I believe this is sufficient for now.”
