Last year, Chopra distinguished himself as the second male athlete from post-independence India to secure two Olympic medals in an individual discipline. He is also the sole Indian athlete to achieve this feat with two distinct medals, having won Gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Chopra's uncle, Bhim, informed PTI that the wedding occurred in India and that the newlyweds have departed for their honeymoon. Mor is presently pursuing her studies in the United States.
"Indeed, the marriage took place in India two days ago. I cannot disclose the specific location," Bhim stated from his village in Khandra, near Panipat in Haryana.
"The bride hails from Sonipat and is studying in the US. They have left the country for their honeymoon, and I am not privy to their travel plans. We preferred to maintain privacy regarding this matter," Bhim added, who resides with the Olympic double medallist in Khandra, when asked about this unexpected development.
