Hollywood luminary George Clooney is said to be in disagreement with actress Margot Robbie regarding their respective ambitions to rejuvenate the Ocean’s franchise through new cinematic installments.

Clooney has recently announced that a script for Ocean’s 14 has already been completed, which would mark his return to the character of Danny Ocean, a role he popularized in the early 2000s trilogy.

The seasoned actor, known for his portrayal of Batman, indicated that the narrative of the film would focus on the theme of aging, delving into the challenges faced by him and his crew as they confront the reality of being “too old to perform the tasks they once excelled at.”

Hollywood insiders report that Margot Robbie is “furious” about recent developments that complicate her plans for a distinct prequel film set in the same universe.

Robbie, alongside her Barbie co-star Ryan Gosling, is attached to a project that delves into the backstory of Danny Ocean’s parents, as well as his sister Debbie, a character portrayed by Sandra Bullock in Ocean’s 8. The actress has been dedicated to this project for an extended period, and George Clooney’s announcement has placed her in a challenging situation.

“Margot is upset. She holds George in high regard and is reluctant to express her concerns, but his reboot is likely to overshadow her film,” an insider informed Radar Online. While Robbie is not against another sequel in the Ocean’s franchise, sources indicate that she perceives Clooney’s initiative as an attempt to “jump the queue.”

At present, Clooney is also facing ongoing speculation regarding a potential divorce from Amal Clooney.

“Rumors about their divorce have intensified this year, primarily due to changes in their living arrangements,” a source revealed to the American media earlier.

“Amal believes that relocating to New York to avoid the appearance of living separate lives will quell the gossip – but it likely will not.”

The couple, who are parents to seven-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, have been residing apart due to their demanding professional commitments.
