YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia recently got into hot water for some inappropriate comments he made on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent. Now, lyricist and writer Manoj Muntashir has spoken out against Ranveer's remarks.

Manoj Muntashir's comments

On Monday, Manoj hopped on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote a long post, sharing a clip of Ranveer and Samay from India's Got Latent. He slammed the YouTuber’s comments, saying, "This is the kind of comedy that has brought humanity down. There are viruses worse than COVID lurking in our phones. These creeps, these perverts, are determined to rob our future generations of their values."

He also cautioned, "Parents, this is a wake-up call—if you don’t pay attention, you’ll see your children and this great nation crumble right before your eyes. @MIB_India, it’s crucial to take swift action against everyone involved in this panel. If you just read this and stay silent, you’ll be part of the problem too."

X users had a variety of responses to Manoj’s tweet. One person commented, "I was just as shocked! That woman has no shame." Another added, "This has to end right now." A different user chimed in, "@manojmuntashir, I’m with you on this, Manoj. People like him are supposed to represent the youth and future of India. It’s really disappointing."

On the flip side, some reminded him of the controversial lines he penned for Adipurush, with one user saying, "I get your point, but we can’t forget what you did with Adipurush. The lines you wrote were just as offensive and impacted a lot more people." Another noted, "After the mess you made with Adipurush, you’ve lost your right to call out others. Just saying."

Ranveer Allahbadia's comments

Ranveer made quite a splash on a special episode of Samay’s show, India’s Got Latent, when he posed a wild question to a contestant: "Would you prefer to see your parents get it on every day for the rest of your life or join in just once and end it for good?" The clip quickly spread across social media, with a lot of people calling his remark 'vulgar.' The episode also had popular content creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija on the judging panel.

Ranveer says he's sorry

The YouTuber faced some serious criticism and decided to make a public apology through a video on social media. He said, "I messed up with my comments on India’s Got Latent. I’m really sorry. What I said wasn’t just out of line—it wasn’t even funny. Comedy isn’t my strong suit. I’m here to say sorry. A lot of you have asked if this is how I want to use my platform, and clearly, it’s not. I’m not going to give any excuses or explanations for what happened. I just want to apologize. I had a moment of poor judgment. That was definitely not cool."
