Legendary actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar passed away at 87 on Friday, leaving the entire industry in mourning for a true icon. To honor his memory and legacy, a prayer meeting was held in Mumbai on Sunday. Many Bollywood celebrities attended, including Aamir Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Farhan Akhtar, among others.

Bollywood celebrities gathered for the prayer meeting

Paparazzi accounts on Instagram shared videos of various celebrities arriving for the prayer meet. Actor Aamir Khan was spotted stepping out of his car to greet the family of the deceased star. He was dressed in a grey kurta and faded jeans for the event.

Jaya Bachchan showed up at the prayer gathering wearing a white churidaar outfit. She greeted the family and relatives with her hands together as she entered. Notably, she attended the event without Amitabh Bachchan. However, Amitabh was there for the star's funeral on Saturday, where he also had a chance to meet writer Salim Khan.

Amitabh made his way over to Salim Khan, who lit up at the sight of his longtime friend. They exchanged a handshake, and as Amitabh held onto Salim's hand, they began to stroll together. Salim called out to him, and they had a quick chat before sharing a warm hug. Amitabh's son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, also joined in, giving Salim a hug as well.

In addition, several other celebrities were seen at the prayer meet, including Rakesh Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Krishika Lulla, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Esha Deol, and singer Sonu Nigam.

Manoj Kumar passed away on Friday at the age of 87, due to health complications related to his age, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He received a cremation with full state honors and a three-gun salute on Saturday. Fans affectionately referred to him as 'Bharat Kumar' for his performances in numerous patriotic films, including Shaheed, Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Roti, Kapda aur Makaan. He is survived by his wife, Shashi, and their two sons.
