Manoj Bajpayee and Kay Kay Menon are two prominent actors who have seldom worked together, with only one film to their credit. Enthusiasm among fans surged when news emerged about their potential collaboration in the upcoming project by their regular associate, Neeraj Pandey. Nevertheless, Manoj promptly dispelled these rumours, stating that they were unfounded.

Manoj shuts down the rumours

Manoj utilized his X account to address a post asserting, “@BajpayeeManoj and @kaykaymenon02 to star in #NeerajPandey’s Netflix espionage thriller.” He humorously remarked, “Hahaha kaha se ye khabar shuru hote hai bhai?” (Where do these news originate from?). Subsequently, he identified the original source and replied to the journalist's tweet on X with: “Kab hua ye?” (When did this happen?).

Although Manoj has now refuted the speculation regarding a collaboration with Kay Kay, fans remain hopeful for a reunion in the future. The two actors have previously collaborated in only one film – Sanjeev Sharma's 2016 comedy Saat Uchakkey, which was produced by Neeraj's production company, Friday Filmworks.

Manoj and Kay Kay's collabs with Neeraj Pandey

Both Manoj and Kay Kay have worked with Neeraj Pandey on several occasions. Manoj featured in the director's 2013 historical heist thriller Special 26 and the 2018 espionage thriller Aiyaary. Additionally, he appeared in Neeraj's productions such as Naam Shabana (2017) and Missing (2018). On the other hand, Kay Kay played a role in Neeraj's spy thriller series Special Ops.

Recently, Manoj completed filming for The Family Man 3, the third instalment of Raj & DK's spy series on Prime Video India. He will reprise his character, Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class individual who leads a dual life as an intelligence officer for the fictional Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC), which is part of the National Investigation Agency. The highly anticipated third season, penned by Suman Kumar and Raj & DK, will feature many returning cast members, including Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, and Gul Panag, among others. The series is produced under Raj & DK's D2R Films banner.

In contrast, Kay Kay's most recent appearance was in Raj & DK's espionage series Citadel: Honey Bunny, which aired on Prime Video India last year.
