Actor Manchu Manoj has responded to the "malicious, false, and baseless allegations" made against him and his wife, Mounika, by his father, Mohan Babu. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Manoj asserted that the accusations are unfounded and represent "a deliberate attempt to defame me, silence my voice, and instigate unnecessary discord within the family."

In his detailed clarification, Manchu Manoj titled his post ‘Setting the record straight’ and posed several questions directed at his family members. He concluded the post with a plea for a "transparent and righteous investigation" to ensure justice is served.

On Monday, Mohan Babu, in his police complaint, alleged that he had been assaulted and expressed a need for protection. He further labeled Manoj and Mounika as ‘anti-social’ elements.

The allegations directed towards my wife and me are entirely unfounded. We are self-sufficient individuals who have consistently conducted our lives with integrity. I have never depended on my family for financial assistance nor pursued any properties. To imply otherwise is both ridiculous and harmful.

Request for investigation of my residence

I have been living in the family residence for more than a year. The claim that I moved in four months ago with ill intentions is a fabrication, created solely to wrongfully accuse both myself and my wife in this baseless complaint.

Including my 7-month-old daughter in the complaint

It is utterly reprehensible and inhumane to involve an innocent 7-month-old infant in this conflict. My children ought to have remained untouched by this issue. This situation highlights the profound malevolence underlying these unfounded allegations and prompts significant concerns regarding the motives behind the complaint.

The truth about the nannies

The caregivers hired for our household are understandably distressed due to the harsh language they have encountered from my father. The claim that we have neglected our daughter is a misleading effort to distort the actual circumstances. Our daughter was in the care of the nannies, who were under the oversight of my mother. My wife and I had only stepped out to obtain a medical assessment of the injuries I incurred.

The mystery of the missing CCTV footage

What has become of the CCTV footage? What prompted Vishnu's associates, Vijay Reddy and Kiran, to take away the CCTV drives? This alteration of evidence raises significant concerns and leads to the inquiry: what are they attempting to conceal? I call for a comprehensive investigation into this issue to reveal the truth.

My independence and contributions

I dedicated more than eight years to diligently working on the films of my father and brother, directing songs, fight sequences, and music videos, frequently assuming positions that were below my status as a commercial hero. My father has unwaveringly backed Vishnu in all his endeavors, often neglecting my contributions. In spite of my sacrifices, I have faced unjust treatment, including defamation and harassment.

Call for family unity

In September, I reached out to my father with a sincere message, urging for a candid family conversation to address these matters. Unfortunately, my request went unacknowledged, and I now find myself confronted with unfounded allegations rather than constructive dialogue.

About the feud

The conflict has persisted for an extended period. It has been suggested that Mohan's descendants, Manoj and Vishnu, are in a state of discord. In 2023, Manoj shared a video depicting Vishnu assaulting his family members.

Earlier this year, after an eight-year absence from the film industry, Manoj made his comeback with Karthik Ghattamaneni’s Mirai, which premiered in theatres on April 18.
