Alia Bhatt celebrated her birthday in advance with the paparazzi on March 13. The actress cut a cake and participated in a Q&A session. Her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, joined the festivities, and the couple was seen posing with the photographers. Following the celebration, they departed for Alibaug for a birthday getaway.

Their journey was abruptly interrupted following the passing of Deb Mukherjee, the father of their close friend and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, who died at the age of 83. In response, they hurried back to Mumbai to support Ayan during this challenging period. Ranbir was also observed fulfilling the role of a pallbearer, carrying Deb Mukherjee’s body. For those unfamiliar, Ranbir and Alia appeared in Ayan’s film Brahmāstra: Part One. Additionally, Ranbir has collaborated with Ayan on projects such as Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Wake Up Sid. The filmmaker was among the select few who attended the couple’s private wedding ceremony at their residence.

Alia is set to appear in YRF's spy universe film, Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail. The film also features Sharvari and promises to present both actors in dynamic action roles. The release date for this film has not yet been disclosed. Furthermore, she is currently filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, where she will share the screen with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal.
