Actor Kiara Advani has announced that she and her husband, Sidharth Malhotra, are expecting their first child together. On Friday, the actor shared a heartwarming image on Instagram featuring the couple holding baby socks.

The couple made a joint announcement regarding the pregnancy on their social media accounts. The caption accompanying the post stated: "The greatest gift of our lives. Coming soon." They did not disclose a due date or any additional information.

Following the announcement, the couple received an outpouring of congratulations and well-wishes from fans and colleagues in the industry. Actor Huma Qureshi expressed her excitement with a comment saying, “Omg congratulations.” Neha Dhupia also extended her congratulations on the post. Fans expressed their joy for the couple, with one remarking, “Going to be the best mom and dad,” while another added, “So happy for you both and the entire family.”

Kiara and Sidharth Malhotra first crossed paths on the set of their 2021 film, Shershaah. In this war drama, Sidharth portrayed the late Captain Vikram Batra, a recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, while Kiara played his girlfriend, Dimple Cheema. The film received critical acclaim upon its release on Amazon Prime Video, and it is reported that the two began dating during the filming process.

Although there were rumors of their relationship circulating since 2020, neither Kiara nor Sidharth publicly addressed it until filmmaker Karan Johar seemingly confirmed their relationship in 2022 during an episode of Koffee With Karan. The couple married on February 7, 2023, in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Their wedding garnered significant media attention, with their wedding photos becoming the most-liked Instagram post in India for a period.
