Bollywood star Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor confirmed their breakup last year. Recently, Malaika posted a mysterious message about preferring distance to disrespect and tranquility to turmoil. Some fans responded, expressing surprise, saying, “I thought she and Arjun would be together forever.”

On Monday, Malaika took to her Instagram story to share a thought-provoking message: “As you grow older, you tend to value peace over conflict and distance over disrespect. You find drama hard to handle, and your peace of mind becomes your top priority. You begin to surround yourself with people who uplift your mental health, heart, and soul.”

A Reddit user opened up about her experience, and the responses were quite varied. One commenter said, “I really thought she and Arjun would end up together. Can you picture Janhvi and Malaika as sisters-in-law?” Another person chimed in, “What she’s figuring out in her 50s, I figured out in my 20s. We’re on different paths.” Someone else added, “She’s still acting like a teenager.”

Arjun and Malaika went public with their relationship in 2018 and have been quite vocal about their affection for each other on social media ever since. However, they decided to go their separate ways in 2024. While promoting his film Singham Again, Arjun announced that he was single, confirming the breakup with Malaika.

Malaika later addressed his "I'm single" comment in an interview with ETimes, saying, "I value my privacy, and there are parts of my life I prefer not to discuss in detail. I won’t use a public platform to share my personal matters. What Arjun has said is his choice. I just want to add that this past year has been challenging for many reasons. I believe it’s time for all of us to move forward from what happened last year. I'm looking forward to the New Year and a fresh start in my life."
