Actor Mahira Sharma has refuted claims of a romantic involvement with cricketer Mohammed Siraj. She utilized social media to clarify the situation and dispel any ongoing speculation.

Mahira clarifies the situation

On March 21, Mahira addressed the rumours through her Instagram Stories, delivering a straightforward message that the allegations regarding her relationship with Mohammed are completely unfounded and should be dismissed without delay.

In her Instagram post, Mahira stated, “Please refrain from spreading rumours; I am not in a relationship with anyone.”

Her recent social media update follows a teasing encounter with photographers in Mumbai regarding her association with a cricketer. On March 20, during her appearance at an award ceremony, photographers inquired about the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) and her favourite team. This interaction was recorded and later shared on social media.

The cricketer also addressed the situation on social media, urging photographers to stop directing questions about him towards others. On March 21, he posted on his Instagram story, stating, “I request paparazzi to refrain from asking questions about me. This is entirely false and unfounded. I hope this matter concludes here.”

Regarding the romance speculation, rumours have circulated for several months about a potential romantic link between Mohammed Siraj and Mahira Sharma, who gained popularity following her participation in Bigg Boss 13. Reported that Mahira and Siraj are "romantically involved," citing sources close to them who indicated they are dating while maintaining a low profile. It was further mentioned that they have been getting to know each other over the past few months.

The speculation grew when Siraj liked one of Mahira’s posts on Instagram, and they began following each other on the platform.

Previously, in an interview with Filmy Gyan, Mahira was questioned about fans expressing heartbreak over her rumoured relationship with Mohammed Siraj. She responded, "Kisi ka kuch nahi hai (There is nothing). I'm not dating anyone."

When asked how she manages such rumours and link-up reports as a public figure, Mahira explained, "Fans can associate you with anyone. We cannot prevent that. When I work, I am linked to my co-stars as well. They create edits and so on. However, I do not place much significance on this. If you enjoy it, go ahead, but there is nothing to it."

Mahira gained widespread recognition with her participation in Salman Khan's reality show, Bigg Boss 13. Earlier, Mahira was in a relationship with Paras Chhabra. The two met on Bigg Boss 13 and fell in love. However, they parted ways in 2023.
