At the launch of the trailer for the upcoming film Tumko Meri Kasam in Mumbai on Tuesday, Adah Sharma opened up about her experiences working with the iconic directors Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. The film draws inspiration from the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia, and during the event, Adah expressed her heartfelt thanks to the Bhatt brothers for their amazing support of newcomers in the film industry.
In her touching speech, Adah said, "Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt really give opportunities to newcomers and treat them like stars. I think that’s just the best thing ever. I made my debut in Vikram Bhatt’s 1920. Before that, I hadn’t done anything, but he made me feel like a superstar. He talks to everyone with such respect and dignity—not just to me, but to my co-stars too. I felt like a major superstar, and it’s such a fantastic way to kick off my career. I feel really lucky to have worked with him."
She also mentioned that the kindness she experienced on her first film set would always stick with her. "I will always remember how I was treated on the set of my first film. They made me feel valued and significant."
Adah went on to discuss her preparation for her role in Tumko Meri Kasam, which is based on Dr. Ajay Murdia’s life. "Vikram sir shared the story with us and showed us pictures. We tried to capture the look. In the end, it’s up to the audience to decide, but I’m thrilled that we got the thumbs up from Dr. Ajay Murdia himself."
Tumko Meri Kasam, featuring Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, Adah Sharma, and Esha Deol, is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025.
