Priyanka Chopra's mom, Madhu Chopra, recently talked about her daughter's incredible journey from being crowned Miss World to carving out her own niche in the industry through sheer talent and hard work. In a fresh interview with Pinkvilla, Madhu revealed that she really put Priyanka through a tough time by deciding to send her to boarding school when she was just a kid.

Madhu opened up during the conversation, saying, “When I sent her off to boarding school, I was filled with self-doubt and I still feel bad about it. Honestly, I don’t regret any of my other choices. I really traumatized that little kid. I didn’t get her ready for the fact that she was going to be living at a boarding school.”

She explained why she made that choice, saying, “We left her there.” It was tough for both of us. But she, being the strong person she is, got through it. I remember her playing with her doll and telling her dad, “Can’t you see I’m busy?” When I heard that, it hit me—this is how I talk. It made me doubt my parenting, thinking maybe I was doing it all wrong. She was definitely loved, and we thought we might be spoiling her, but looking back, that wasn’t the best call.

Priyanka kicked off her acting career with the Tamil film Thamizhan in 2002, and then made her Bollywood debut in The Hero: Love Story of a Spy in 2003.

Now, she’s rumored to be in SS Rajamouli's upcoming film with Mahesh Babu. Last month in Hyderabad, she hinted at starting a “new chapter,” and we should be hearing an official announcement about the project soon.
