Actor Priyanka Chopra is rumored to be returning to Indian cinema with the highly awaited film SSMB 29, directed by SS Rajamouli. She’s been teasing her fans with some clues, and now her mom, Madhu Chopra, has weighed in on the buzz during an interview with Lehren Retro.

During the interview, when the topic of Priyanka's rumored role in SSMB 29 came up, Madhu Chopra gave a subtle nod of confirmation, saying, "Vahin shooting pe hain voh" (She is shooting the film). She also agreed when the interviewer pointed out that Priyanka is in Hyderabad for the filming.

Priyanka dropped a hint about joining SSMB 29

Just a few days after rumors started swirling about her possibly being the lead heroine in SSMB 29, excitement among fans is at an all-time high. The buzz intensified when Priyanka posted a video of her trip from Toronto to Hyderabad, with the epic soundtrack of RRR playing in the background. Once she arrived in Hyderabad, she hinted at a "new chapter" by sharing some snaps from her visit to the Chilkur Balaji Temple in Telangana.

On Instagram, she expressed: "With the blessings of Shri Balaji, a new chapter begins. May we all find peace in our hearts and prosperity and abundance all around us. God’s grace is infinite. Thank you @upasanakaminenikonidela."

Her posts have led many fans to believe she’s in Hyderabad to work on SSMB 29, but neither Priyanka nor the film's team has officially confirmed her role.

About SSMB 29

SSMB 29 is still shrouded in mystery. The story, crafted by Rajamouli’s dad, writer Vijayendra Prasad, is said to be an action-adventure reminiscent of Indiana Jones.
