Sonakshi Sinha just hosted a birthday bash for the two key guys in her life—her dad, Shatrughan Sinha, and her husband, Zaheer Iqbal. It was a cozy gathering, and actor Rekha was among the guests. However, her brothers, Luv and Kush, were noticeably missing from the celebration.

Sonakshi gave her fans a peek into the birthday festivities by posting a video on her YouTube channel, showcasing a tour of the party. The clip captured the joyful atmosphere, filled with love, laughter, and good vibes.
Shatrughan celebrated his 79th birthday on December 9, 2024, while Zaheer turned 36 the following day.
Sonakshi mentioned that this birthday bash was particularly special since it was the first time her dad and husband were celebrating their birthdays together. Unfortunately, the party felt a bit off without her brothers, Luv and Kush Sinha, who also missed her wedding celebrations last June.
Their absence has reignited speculation about the rumored tensions within the Sinha family.
The birthday bash had Rekha in attendance, who has a long history of both professional and personal ties with the Sinha family. As soon as she walked in, she hurried over to touch Shatrughan's feet. Rekha and Shatrughan have teamed up on a bunch of films, like Khoon Bhari Maang and Raampur Ka Lakshman.
Things got a bit emotional when Shatrughan's wife, Poonam Sinha, grabbed the mic to give Rekha a warm welcome. With a big smile, Poonam said, "I just want everyone to know that my soul sister is here. Let’s all say hi to her!"
When Zaheer showed up at the party, he also paid his respects to Rekha by touching her feet.

A sweet throwback from the birthday bash was caught on video, showing Sonakshi proudly displaying a bunch of old film magazines. Each one had her dad, Shatrughan, gracing the cover. These gems, some dating all the way back to 1972, were kept safe in plastic bags. Looks like Sonakshi received them as a gift during the celebration!.
Sonakshi tying the knot with Zaheer
Sonakshi and Zaheer spent a few years together before choosing to have a small wedding on the anniversary of their first love. Later that day, they celebrated with their closest friends and family. “Seven years ago today (23.06.2017), we looked into each other's eyes and saw love in its truest form, and we made a promise to cherish it. That love has helped us navigate all the ups and downs, leading us to this moment where, with the support of our families and our faith, we are now husband and wife,” they shared along with their wedding photos.
In a chat with Retro Lehren, Shatrughan expressed his thoughts on the brothers missing the big event. He mentioned, “I can’t really complain. They’re just human. They might not be fully mature yet. I get their struggles and confusion. There’s always a cultural aspect to consider. If I were their age, I might have reacted similarly. But this is where maturity, experience, and seniority come into play. So, my response wasn’t as intense as my sons'.
