The finale episode is ready to release in a few hours, and it’s going to be a crazy yet beautiful ride before we get to the ultimate moment – the wedding. Here’s what you can expect from episode 16 aka Love Next Door finale…
Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo get her brother Dong-jin’s approval after a hilarious encounter
When Seok-ryu enters her room, Seung-hyo follows. She wonders what has him so busy these days. Seok-ryu also complains how they haven't been out on a date since days at an end. Behaving aegyo, Seung-hyo says he has a lot of work to do. Keeping his cute face, Seung-hyo pleads with his fiance Seok-ryu for another week. She cribs that a week is too long a time to wait. "A week is going to be like a thousand years," Seung-hyo tells Seok-ryu while giving her a sweet hug.
Just as they have a moment, Lee Seung-hyub's Dong-jin enters the room to call Seok-ryu out for messing with his razor. While holding the razor, he enters the room and sees Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo closer than they've ever been in front of him. In the moment, Dong-jin moves his face away while crossing his arms, holds the razor up, and complains about his eyes having to witness the moment. Dong-jin also calls out to his parents after seeing everything unfold. "They're acting strange in the room again," he says while screaming for his parents.
To that, Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu inform Dong-jin that it's not weird anymore because the couple has their parents' approval, too. Dong-jin, however, objects and says he won't allow them to be so close. "Hyung (big brother), think about it again now," he tells Seung-hyo, thus trying to warn him man-to-man about who Dong-jin thinks his sister is. Just as Seok-ryu tells Dong-jin nobody cares about his approval, he talks about her stealing his razors. This finally got on Seok-ryu's last nerve, who got up and started chasing Dong-jin around while blackmailing to kill him. Dong-jin tells Seung-hyo to believe him that at the speed that razor's blades are getting dull, Seok-ryu must have started growing a beard. Seung-hyo, being himself, states out loud that he doesn't care if she does end up growing a beard. Of course, he got the judgemental yet pity face from Dong-jin in return. Seung-hyo clears that it doesn't matter if Seok-ryu is even an alien because he loves her that much. Of course, hearing that makes Seok-ryu blush. Dong-jin, on the other hand, states out loud, "He has really lost it."
As they talk about Coffee Prince, Dong-jin asks his hyung to come out of drama and back into the reality. With that, Seung-hyo reminds Dong-jin that he has to take the exams and offers him money to buy drinks for himself. On seeing the money, Dong-jin changes his mind and calls Seung-hyo his 'brother-in-law.' He even changes his statement and says his sister is not that messed up. He calls her a pumpkin, stating that if a few lines are drawn, the pumpkin could turn into a watermelon. While pushing him out, Seok-ryu states she really did not use Dong-jin's razor.
Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu’s wedding
Seung-hyo tells Seok-ryu that they have no time to waste if they wish to catch up on 30 years of romance that they already missed out on. Seung-hyo asks Myeong-u for further help since he wants to get married just like his associate. The next thing you know, Seung-hyo dons his wedding suit and looks more handsome than ever.
Hye-sook (Jang Young-nam) and Mi-sook (Park Ji-young)'s friends group realizes that they will become in-laws now. The parents then discuss the wedding. Seok-ryu's mother Mi-sook suggests next spring, while Seung-hyo's mother Hye-sook wants to see the children married before the year comes to an end.
Mo-eum's love story takes a turning point
Mo-eum (Kim Ji-eun) asks Dan-ho (Yoon Ji-on) out on a date. They go to the amusement park, in the ride that makes almost everybody lose their balance. Unfortunately, Dan-ho gets to know that Mo-eum won't be around since she was assigned to the South Pole. Thus, there could be some drama there, with Dan-ho ending up in South Pole or Mo-eum staying back despite the great opportunity. The finale will reveal that too.
