Lizzo shares her mental health struggle at a concert
As the concert drew to a close, Lizzo addressed the topic of mental health, revealing the inspiration behind the title of her forthcoming album, Love in Real Life. In videos shared on social media, she articulated how her own experiences influenced the album's themes. She conveyed to the audience, “I chose this title because about a year and a half ago — and it’s difficult for me to discuss — I was engulfed in a profound depression.”
The artist elaborated, “I felt utterly heartbroken by the state of the world and was so deeply wounded that I no longer wished to live. I was also overwhelmed by a fear of people, which made me want to hide from view. Eventually, I overcame that fear." Lizzo recounted a pivotal moment she experienced while making her way to the stage during the concert. She shared, “As I navigated through the audience to reach my place, something extraordinary occurred. A stranger looked at me and said, ‘Lizzo, I love you.’ They extended their hand, and I reciprocated, and we embraced, which felt incredibly uplifting,” as reported by People magazine.
The singer of "Truth Hurts" expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming support from her fans, describing it as "f***ing life-saving." She remarked, “After that moment, I realized, ‘Damn, you can’t find this kind of connection online, bro. This is the type of love that can only be experienced in real life. I don’t share this story to elicit sympathy. We’ve moved past that, b****. Just look at me!"

If you are frustrated with the government, find others who share your sentiments and take action together.”
