Michael Lohan, the father of Lindsay Lohan, was apprehended this past weekend on charges of domestic violence. The 64-year-old was detained in Texas on Saturday for allegedly physically assaulting his estranged spouse, Kate Major, as reported by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The event is reported to have occurred while the 42-year-old individual was attending a medical appointment on Friday, February 21. She allegedly observed him in the parking lot of the medical facility and subsequently informed law enforcement, expressing her concern that he was following her, as stated in an email from the Harris County Sheriff's Office to PEOPLE.
She conveyed to the authorities that Michael Lohan had previously “flipped her out of a chair” at their residence a few days prior. Official reports indicate that bruising was evident on Major’s body. She informed the deputies that he had become physical with her at his home. Lohan was eventually “arrested without incident” and charged with “continuous violence against the family.” He is currently being held on a bond of $30,000.
