Liam Payne's partner, Kate Cassidy, has reportedly consented to speak with law enforcement in Argentina as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the pop star's demise.

Payne, a former member of One Direction, tragically passed away on October 16 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires. Cassidy had been with Payne just two days before the incident and subsequently ended their extended stay in Argentina.

While Kate Cassidy is not being investigated for any misconduct, a source informed the Daily Mirror, "She is willing to assist in any way possible; she desires justice for the right individuals, and if that involves answering questions, she is prepared to do so."

"Clearly, there is no reason for her not to cooperate. She made significant efforts to help him overcome his struggles and is still deeply affected by the events. She believes that anyone who supplied drugs to Liam should face prosecution," the source added.

Authorities are interrogating individuals connected to the Liam Payne incident

Authorities are seeking to interview several individuals associated with the case, including Roger Nores, a friend of Payne, who has denied claims that he deserted Payne prior to the tragic fall. Nores has declined to respond to police inquiries directly but has indicated his intention to provide a written statement.

Additionally, two other individuals, Braian Nahuel Paiz, an alleged drug dealer, and Esequiel David Pereyra, a former employee of CasaSur Palermo Hotel, exercised their right to remain silent during a Zoom interrogation held on December 17. Esteban Grassi, the hotel’s chief receptionist, and Gilda Martin, the head of security, were also scheduled for questioning during the week of December 16.

An autopsy determined that Payne died instantly due to “multiple traumatic injuries” leading to “internal and external hemorrhage.”

Toxicology reports released on November 7 revealed the presence of alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants in his system.

Nores previously informed TMZ that Payne was in “good spirits and personally balanced” on the day of his death. “I never abandoned Liam; I visited his hotel three times that day and departed 40 minutes before the incident. There were more than 15 people in the hotel lobby conversing and laughing with him when I left,” he stated.

“I provided my statement to the prosecutor on October 17 as a witness and have not communicated with any police officer or prosecutor since then. I was not Liam’s manager; he was simply my very dear friend.”
