Shankar's film Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, premiered in January of this year. However, a report from Telugu Scribe indicates that by the end of February, 350 film extras had not received their payment of ₹1200 each. A police complaint was lodged, with the extras urging Shankar and producer Dil Raju to address the situation and fulfill their financial obligations.

Police complaint filed against Game Changer team

The artists reportedly filed a complaint at a police station in Guntur, alleging that the Game Changer production team had deceived them. An artist named Tarun claimed that 350 extras from Guntur and Vijayawada traveled to Hyderabad for the film's shooting after co-director Swargam Shiva assured them of a payment of ₹1200 each. They assert that they have yet to receive this payment and are calling for Shankar and Raju to take notice of the issue. Additionally, they have requested action against Shiva, accusing him of fraud.

In response to the news, individuals on X (formerly Twitter) tagged Ram and his cousin, actor Sai Durgha Tej. One user remarked, “You have funds for paying influencers for promotions, yet you cannot compensate the artists who worked diligently on the film; this is very disappointing.” Another user noted that such incidents are "unfortunately common in the film industry."

The film's team has not yet issued a response or statement regarding the matter.
