Actor Lee Dong Wook recently expressed his disappointment with Korean audiences regarding the lackluster performance of his new film Harbin at the box office. While chatting on the YouTube channel Ttunddun, Lee candidly shared his feelings, urging viewers to show more support for the film than they have so far.

When MC Yoo Jae Suk asked Lee Dong Wook if Harbin had hit 5 million viewers, the actor didn’t hold back his frustration. He bluntly replied, “Not even close,” showing just how disappointed he was. Lee went on to share his thoughts about the film's lackluster reception.

He mentioned, “Honestly, I feel a bit let down by the audience. I’ve been promoting this movie for two years, so why aren’t people showing up?” Throughout the episode, Lee Dong Wook's honest and straightforward comments caught the attention of MC Yoo Jae Suk, who jokingly suggested that his frankness might be a part of a persona. But the actor quickly clarified, "This isn’t an act. You can see it as my true self,” as reported by Koreaboo.

Things lightened up when Jo Se Ho tried to defend Lee by explaining how he misunderstood the actor's personality. Still, the Goblin star kept the humor going, adding, “I do dislike him a little.”

Lee’s comments come at a crucial time since Harbin is dealing with stiff competition at the box office, especially with Song Hye Kyo’s new thriller, Dark Nuns, making waves. While Harbin's historical epic has had a hard time catching on, Song’s horror flick is doing fantastic, outpacing Harbin's initial box office figures and breaking records, which makes Lee’s words hit even harder.
