Recently, social media was flooded with a particular leaked video from the sets of the upcoming film Coolie. Following this, the director of the film, Lokesh Kanagaraj appealed on social media to refrain from sharing the footage online, citing that it will ruin the experience the film has to offer.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is working with actor Rajinikanth for the upcoming film which has been titled Coolie. Recently, the makers revealed the star-studded cast of the film, which includes Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Sathyaraj and Shruthi Haasan among others.
While the shooting is in progress in full swing, a viral video taken from the sets of the shooting has been posted on social media. The leaked footage shows Nagarjuna's portions in which he is seen ruthlessly stabbing a person in front of a crowd. Many social media users began to share the clip, given how much anticipation Coolie has garnered.
Following this, Lokesh Kanagaraj appealed on social media from sharing the clip. "Two months of hard work by many people have gone in vain because of one recording. I humbly request everyone not to engage in such practices, as they spoil the overall experience. Thank you,” he posted on X.
It is not yet known how and who leaked the video. Given the film is produced by the big banner, Sun Pictures, the banner is expected to take necessary measures to prevent it from being shared and any such instances from repeating.

The film is touted to be a gangster action drama. Coolie is Rajinikanth’s 171th outing as the lead actor, and will mark his first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The technical crew consists of Girish Gangadharan cranking the camera and National Award-winning stunt coordinators Anbariv associated with the project. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for the film. A release date for Coolie is yet to be announced by the makers.
